GLP-1
A gut hormone that manages blood sugar and appetite.
Glucagon-like peptide-1 is released after eating. It slows stomach emptying, prompts insulin release when glucose is high, and signals fullness to the brain. GLP-1 medications copy that signal with a much longer half-life.
