KPV
A three amino acid anti-inflammatory fragment studied for gut and skin.
What it is
KPV is the active tail of alpha-MSH, a hormone involved in inflammation control, stripped of the pigmentation effects.
How it works
It enters cells and interferes with inflammatory signalling, including the NF-kB pathway, which reduces the local inflammatory response.
What it is researched for
- Inflammatory bowel conditions
- Skin inflammation and acne
- Wound healing
Research status
Animal and cell research. No approved human product.
What to watch for
- Limited human data
- Immune suppression is theoretically possible with heavy use
Storage
Lyophilised powder keeps in the freezer or fridge, away from light. Once reconstituted with bacteriostatic water, keep it refrigerated and use it within about four weeks.
Common questions
Oral or injected for gut issues?
Gut protocols usually use the oral route so the peptide reaches the intestinal lining directly.
Can it be combined with BPC-157?
Gut repair protocols commonly pair them, one for inflammation and one for tissue repair.
