Methodology
The math
Concentration (mg/mL) = vial mg ÷ bacteriostatic water mL.
Draw volume (mL) = dose mg ÷ concentration. 1 mg = 1000 mcg.
Syringe units = draw mL × units per mL (100 on U-100, 50 on U-50, 40 on U-40).
Doses per vial = vial mg ÷ dose mg, rounded down.
The half-life chart adds equal doses that each decay by half every half-life. It is an illustrative model, not a blood level.
Sources
Reference figures such as half-lives and cited research ranges come from published literature, with PubMed searches linked from each library profile. Vial sizes reflect how compounds are commonly sold.
Review process
Every formula is covered by automated tests that run on each update. Library pages show a last-reviewed date, and corrections from readers go through our feedback form.
